Shared journeys

What people say

When I come to Be creative I feel safe and happy.

Emma is always happy and makes me feel calm. Sometimes I get scared about trying new things but I know I can make mistakes and it’s okay.

I always look forward to my time at Be creative and the creative fun I have there. I didn’t know how many things I was good at. Even when o feel scared and think I’m going to be rubbish Emma is always reassuring me and helping me find my confidence in my own skills. I will be sad when my sessions end.

Since D has been attending Be creative I’ve noticed a huge difference in his confidence.

I was worried at first that it may be too much and that Ds anxiety wouldn’t allow him to really embrace the sessions.

Emma and Richard put us at ease straight away, having the first session together really helped and now when I drop D off he runs In excited to start his weekly sessions. Every time I collect D he has created something he is so proud of, pushed his boundaries and allowed himself to make mistakes. I truly think what Emma and Richard are doing is priceless. My son has found his voice and gained confidence not only with creativity but in school and at home. He’s more social and more able to use his voice and speak up for what he wants and needs. Every child should have access to a resource like Be Creative it’s a hidden gem. .
